"Reached out to Richard regarding an art piece I acquired. I knew nothing of the art piece or where to even begin. Richard was very responsive and was able to look up information for me within 24 hours. He gave me advice on what to do next with my art piece. Overall, wonderful experience!"

"Hello Rick, I don't think you will remember me, but in the early 90s when I was a 17 year old welding student at South Tech and Lake Worth high school, I was fortunate enough to meet and work with you every Wednesday for about a year. You were inspiring, kind, generous, professional, and one of the first artists and adults to ever treat me as a peer. I loved building sculptures with you and the conversations we had about your work. I remember passionate and creative chats with a stone sculptor who worked next door to you at the time. I think that you also put me in touch with another welder possibly named Lori? She was also fabulous to work with. You gave me a photo of one of the abstract pieces that you and I built together. It looked to me like a small horse. I was so proud when you told me that it sold for $4,000. I don't know if I still have the photo... but on my list of dreams is to one day find and buy that sculpture. It's priceless to me. Unfortunately I think my time with you was cut short following a horrific car accident. After the accident my relationship with metal was forever changed, and the severe neck injuries which took me out of school for a while sadly also made wearing my welding leathers and helmet too painful for many years. Even now, I'd still struggle with the weight of a helmet, due to the permanent soft tissue damage from that accident way back then. Anyhow, I wanted to write to you to let you know that after an incredibly long journey I have finally returned to Art. I'm 44 now, but I've finally found the courage and means to put myself through art college. I'm applying now to some of the best colleges in London including Oxford's Ruskin and UCL's Slade, and of course I will be mentioning you as one of my earliest influences. Thank you so much for the wonderful and life long impressions you made on me. I hope you are well. I will be in Lake Worth this December visiting my parents and I'd love to stop in and see you if that would be OK."
